A Government of Canada program that partners with Internet Service Providers to offer low-cost home internet plans to eligible low-income families and seniors. Helps bridge the digital divide for households that may otherwise be unable to afford reliable internet access.
Useful Tips for Applying
Only those who receive an invitation letter can participate. Keep your letter and activation code in a safe place — they cannot be reissued.
Who May Qualify
• Families receiving the maximum Canada Child Benefit (CCB) • Seniors receiving the maximum Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) • You must receive an official invitation letter from the Government of Canada with a unique activation code
Required Documents
• Government-issued invitation letter containing your unique activation code • Government-issued ID matching the name on the letter
How to Apply
1. Receive an official invitation letter from the Government of Canada. 2. Visit the Connecting Families registration portal. 3. Enter your activation code, full name, and address. 4. Select a participating ISP from the list provided. 5. Contact the chosen ISP to finalize the sign-up.
