Saskatchewan Education and Training Incentive

ETI

The Education and Training Incentive (ETI) provides financial help to adult learners with low incomes so they can complete high school, take workforce or skills training, and improve their employment opportunities. Along with monthly financial assistance, learners get individualized planning and ongoing support to reach their training and employment goals.

Useful Tips for Applying

Confirm your training program is approved before you enroll so the incentive applies. Work with your caseworker on an individualized plan so you stay on track. ETI can be combined with SIS or SAID income support while you train.

Who May Qualify

You may qualify if you are an adult learner with a low income, enrolled in an approved program such as Adult Basic Education, workforce development, or skills training through an approved provider, and you are eligible to receive financial support through SIS or SAID.

How to Apply

Apply through the Saskatchewan government ETI page or with the help of your training provider and caseworker. You must be enrolled in an approved program and eligible for SIS or SAID.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

A common mistake is not realizing you must be eligible for SIS or SAID to access ETI. Another is choosing a program that is not approved, which means the incentive will not be paid. People also miss the individualized planning support that comes with the funding.
