Saskatchewan Employment Incentive

SEI

The Saskatchewan Employment Incentive (SEI) provides a monthly financial benefit to working families with low incomes, plus Supplementary Health Benefits, discounted bus passes where available, connections to employment supports, and access to the Saskatchewan Housing Benefit. It helps working parents keep more of what they earn while staying employed.

Useful Tips for Applying

Working parents earning between $500 and $2,200 per month may be eligible for the maximum monthly benefit. Apply even if your income varies — the benefit is adjusted to your situation. Ask about the included Supplementary Health Benefits and discounted transit pass to reduce other costs.

Who May Qualify

You may qualify if you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, live in Saskatchewan, are 18 or older, have a valid Social Insurance Number, are employed and earning a low income, and have a family with dependent children.
