Funds can pay for community activities, respite, and supports. You can self-manage or use an agency. A base amount is guaranteed, with more for higher needs.
Ontario adults 18 and over with a developmental disability who are not in school full-time.
Developmental disability documentation and an application through Developmental Services Ontario.
Apply through your regional Developmental Services Ontario agency; funds are administered through a passport agency.
Confusing this with ODSP income support — Passport is for community participation and respite. Not applying at age 18 — there is often a waitlist.

Inclusion Canada is the national federation working to advance the full inclusion and human rights of people with an intellectual disability and their families across Canada. Its Barrier-Free Benefits program provides free one-on-one disability benefits navigation support across Canada.

The GAIN Program (Guidance & Assistance in Navigating Disability Support) is a free service offered by Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada (VLRC). VLRC's Disability Benefit Navigators provide one-to-one support to help people with disabilities understand and apply for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC), the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB), and other federal, provincial and territorial credits and benefits, including help with appeals. Although operated by VLRC, the GAIN Program assists people with all disabilities, not only vision loss.

CAD-ASC is the national consumer organization of Deaf Canadians, providing consultation, research, and expertise on Deaf needs and rights to the public, organizations, and governments. It develops pilot programs and advocates for the rights of Deaf Canadians and the recognition of ASL and LSQ.

Community Living Ontario is a provincial non-profit organization that advocates for people who have an intellectual disability and their families across Ontario. It works alongside 128 local agencies and advocates with people who have intellectual disabilities to build inclusive communities.

ARCH is primarily funded by Legal Aid Ontario and provides legal advice, representation in test cases and human rights matters, public legal education, and law reform.
