Who May Qualify
Students with a permanent disability, or a persistent or prolonged disability, enrolled in an eligible full-time or part-time post-secondary program.
Required Documents
Proof of disability (for example, a medical certificate, a Disability Tax Credit approval letter, or documentation from a qualified professional) and an application through your provincial or territorial student aid office.
How to Apply
Apply for student financial aid through your province or territory and indicate you have a disability. The grant is assessed automatically.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Not declaring a disability on the student aid application, which means missing the grant. Believing you need the Disability Tax Credit — a medical letter from a qualified professional also qualifies.
