Special Olympics Wood Buffalo is a volunteer-based community of Special Olympics Alberta providing year-round recreational and competitive sport training and opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities in the Wood Buffalo region.

NEAFAN — North East Alberta FASD Network
NEAFAN (North East Alberta Fetal Alcohol Network) is one of twelve FASD Service Networks in Alberta, set up to enhance FASD services and supports for those affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and their caregivers. NEAFAN operates within the Wood Buffalo Municipal Area including Fort McMurray and surrounding communities.
RMWB Specialized Transit
RMWB Specialized Transit (formerly SMART Bus — Special Mobility Assistance Required Transportation) is the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo's application-based, curb-to-curb shared transit service for eligible residents with mobility challenges who are unable to use conventional transit. It is now part of the RMWB Transit On Demand platform but remains a distinct, eligibility-gated program. It is not the same as the general Transit On Demand service.
McMan Youth, Family & Community Services — Fort McMurray
McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association (Edmonton and North region) provides family support, respite and disability services in Fort McMurray. McMan is a not-for-profit social service agency serving communities across northern Alberta, including Fort McMurray.
