PEI Pharmacare is a collection of drug programs that help Islanders with the cost of eligible prescription medications, medical supplies, and pharmacy services. Coverage depends on the specific program you qualify for (such as Seniors' Drug Program, Family Health Benefit, or Generic Drug Program) and your medication must be on the PEI Pharmacare Formulary.

Check the PEI Pharmacare Formulary search tool to see if your medication is covered before relying on the program. If your medication requires special authorization, ask your doctor to submit the form. Apply to the specific program that fits your situation (Seniors, Family Health Benefit, or Generic Drug).
Documents requis
A valid PEI Health Card, proof you meet the criteria for a specific drug program (such as income or age), and a prescription for a medication listed on the PEI Pharmacare Formulary dispensed at a participating pharmacy.
