Alberta Disability Assistance Program (ADAP)

The Alberta Disability Assistance Program (ADAP) is a Government of Alberta income-support program for Albertans with severe disabilities. Launched July 2026, ADAP is designed to empower Albertans with disabilities to pursue employment while continuing to receive financial, health, personal and employment supports. There is a single combined application for both ADAP and AISH; eligible applicants are placed in the program best suited to their situation. AISH continues for those who meet specific criteria. ADAP's core financial benefit is $1,740 per month, with an employment income exemption of $700 per month for single clients.

Qui est admissible

Albertans 18 years of age or older who are not eligible for an Old Age Security pension, who live in Alberta and are Canadian citizens or permanent residents, who are not in a correctional facility or certain mental-health facilities, who meet the financial eligibility criteria, and who have a severe disability that significantly impedes employment continuously or episodically.
