Money the Government of Canada pays directly into a Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) for low- and modest-income Canadians with disabilities — no contribution required.
Conseils utiles pour la demande
You don't need to contribute any money — the bond is paid based on income alone. The lifetime maximum is $20,000. File taxes every year or the bond won't be paid.

DTC-approved individuals with an RDSP whose family income is below the set threshold ($38,237 or less for the full $1,000 bond in 2026; a partial bond is paid for incomes between $38,237 and $58,523).
Documents requis
DTC approval, an RDSP account opened at a participating financial institution, a Social Insurance Number, and a filed income tax return.

Not filing taxes, which prevents the bond from being paid. Believing you must contribute to the RDSP to receive the bond.
