Manitoba Emergency Housing Assistance
MB Emergency Housing
Manitoba's Emergency Housing Assistance provides temporary financial support for individuals and families in a critical housing crisis, such as eviction, homelessness, or unsafe living conditions. It is accessed through Manitoba Housing and regional intake services for immediate help.
Conseils utiles pour la demande
Contact Manitoba Housing as soon as the crisis begins — help is available immediately through intake. Bring documents about your income and housing situation to the assessment. Ask at the same time about longer-term programs such as the Social Housing Rental Program or Rent Assist.
Qui peut être admissible
You may qualify if you are in a critical housing crisis in Manitoba (such as eviction, homelessness, or unsafe living conditions) and need immediate temporary financial support to get or keep housing.
Documents requis
Information about your housing crisis (eviction notice, unsafe living conditions, or homelessness), your income and family situation, and proof of Manitoba residency.
Comment présenter une demande
Contact Manitoba Housing or the Department for an immediate response, available through regional offices or housing intake services by phone or in person for an assessment.
Erreurs courantes à éviter
A common mistake is waiting too long to ask for help during a housing crisis. Another is not having documents about your income and housing situation ready for the intake assessment. People also miss that this is short-term help and should be paired with an application for longer-term housing supports.
